- The Food

A refreshing concoction composed of gin, pomegranate and mango. There was aroma of dry and somewhat acidic lime taste too.

Cream of Shitake Mushroom @ $6.30
IMG_4001edit1
The mushroom soup was less creamy than the usual mushroom soup, not cloyingly rich yet filled with earthy flavor. The soup is served generously with sliced mushroom.

Lobster Bisque @ $7.30

The bisque was lighter and much thinner but smooth and filled with bites of lobster meat.

Ayam Goreng Kunyit @ $2.10/pcs (minimum 3 per order)
IMG_4020edit1
The taut and crispy skin kampong style fried chicken wings marinated in turmeric & cumin is prefect to go with your booze. On the downside, the wings were slightly over-fried and a tad dry.

Spam Fries @ $9.80
IMG_4024edit1
A medley of tempura fried luncheon meat fries was slightly crisp and tender. Amazingly it is not as greasy as one will think. They're a great appetizer or snack and the wasabi mayo dip is the perfect accompaniment. You should enjoy with a pint of icy cold beer!

Spinach Salad with Marinated Chick Peas & Feta with Grilled Chicken @ $14.30

The salad dressing was light and mildly flavorful. Grilled chicken a tad dry and tough.

US Black Angus Prime Ribeye 250g @ $45.80
IMG_4058edit1
This is my favourite of the night, I am a steak lover and I am very particular how it is cook. The steak was medium rare, delightfully tender and succulent. Dip it with truffles salt and the distinctive fragrant was simply unforgettable.

Succulent beef fillet topped with juicy shitake mushroom sauteed in a special herbed mozzarella brown sauce.

Dressed Up Dog with a Sunny Side Up Egg @ $14.80

Giant beef frank wrapped with streaky bacon & topped with melted cheddar cheese. Its really interesting how the hotdog is being served, but I was too full to try more and decided to packet back for one of the foodie's husband.

Blueberry Panna Cotta @ $7.30
IMG_4091edit1
These softly set and not-so-sweet creamy puddings are so silky-smooth they slip down beautifully at the end of a meal. You have a choice of honey walnut or blueberry as topping.

Affogato @ $7.30
IMG_4096edit1
Shot of espresso served over a scoop of clotted cream ice cream was refreshing and lush.

- My Opinion
Honestly the food was pretty decent and of course there are a few raved ones. But the laidback and urban concrete jungle concept will be a ideal getaway for the frazzled and those seeking a brief respite from the everyday hustle and bustle of Singapore.

Thanks Hans, Val & Jerome for your warm hospitality, it was a great evening despite the heavy downpour.
